Anthony Martial

 
The professional footballer who is known to be playing as the forward/winger for the well supported Manchester United, Anthony Martial was born a French, as Anthony Joran Martial on 5th of Dec in the year 1995. He is also known to be playing for his French National Team. Martial, a descendant from Guadeloupean, was born in Massy, Essonne. He has two brothers, Johan, who has represented his nation till the under-20 level, professionalized as a defender for Troyes AC, and Dorian, a senior team member at the Les Ulis. Martial at his young age was described as a shy person by his coach. This Roman Catholic is married to Samantha and is blessed with a daughter.

Being the recipient of the Golden Boy Award 2015 for the best player in the under-21 category in Europe, 2015, Anthony Martial started his career in this field professionally for Lyon in the European League in a game against the Israeli football club Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona on the 6th of December 2012. In this match, Anthony replaced the Algerian footballer Yassine Benzia for the final ten minutes. 

Martial came in as a substitute for Rachid Ghezzal on 3rd Feb 2013, which was his first Ligue 1 match, which was played against AC Ajaccio. Later in 2013, he signed a three-year contract with AS Monaco. His fee was nearly €5 million excluding other bonuses. His first appearance for the team was on 24th of November. Martial signed up with Manchester United in the year 2015. He is known to be the youngest high paid teenager in the history of football, with a fee of about £36million. The contract is for four years. The first individual accolade earned was when he was selected as the PFA Fan’s Player of the Month in September. Immediately after this his second laurel also followed as he earned the ‘Goal of the Month.’ Martial was given the title of ‘Premier League Player of the Month’ for September, being the third youngest person after Micah Richards, the English club Aston Villa captain, and the former English striker, Michael Owen.

Anthony Martial has remained under the close observations of media and journalists. According to Philippe Auclair, a correspondent/sports critic, Anthony has a style which is very much similar to that of Thierry Henry, a former French international player. He is said to have both the speed as well as the technical ability in both up-front and wide positions. Even though Martial denied this comparison to be accurate, he mentions being glad to be compared to legends. 

Anthony has recently received the Facebook FA Premier League award for the Best Young Player. He has made a total of 46 appearances for The United in various games.
