Muhammad Ali’s real name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. He was born on January 17, 1942. His birth place was Louisville, Kentucky. His death date is June 3, 2016. He was an international Boxer and social activist. He is considered as most controversial, and motivating sports person of 20th century. He started his boxing training from the age of 12.

At Summer Olympics in the year 1960, he won a gold medal when he was just 18 years old and then in the year 1964, he won many titles WBA, WBC, Lineal Heavyweight. After he became a professional, he converted his religion to Islam and changed his name. He resisted the domination of the whites while the Civil Rights Movement was going on. If we talk about his personal life, he has 4 brothers and one sister.

His father, Cassius Marcellus Clay Sr. was an abolitionist, and a Republican politician. He suffered a lot of racism during the initial years of his life. His first ever boxing coach was Joe E. Martin who inspired him a lot to enter this field. Ali married 4 times in his life and from those marriages, he has 7 daughters and 2 sons. He was very successful as a boxer as out of 61 fights that he fought in his lifetime, he won 56 of them and lost only 5 of them. It is believed that his opponents were quite scared of his boxing style. While the later years of his life, there were various rumours about his illness, some of them were true and some of them were just the hoax. In February 2013, his brother claimed that he is unable to speak and is on the verge of death but his daughter cleared all the confusion. Than he was hospitalized due to pneumonia in the year 2014 and for UTI in the year 2015. He was then sent to hospital on June 2, 2016 due to respiratory illness where he died due to septic shock.
