Niall Horan

Niall Horan is an Irish guitarist and singer. Niall was born on 13th September 1993 in Mullingrad in Ireland. He was part of the boy band One Direction. Niall is the son of Bobby Horan and Maura Gallaghar. When he was five years old, they got divorced. He has an elder brother named Greg Horan. He attended primary school at St. Kenny’s National School and later at a Catholic boys’ school called Coláiste Mhuire. His hobbies were playing sports like golf, football and Gaelic football. He was diagnosed with a floating kneecap after an injury during a football game with friends. He learned the guitar by practicing while watching Youtube videos. He performed at a fund-raising campaign for at the Shamrocks local football team at the Mullinghar Arts Centre.

In 2010, Niall auditioned for The X Factor’s seventh series in Dublin, in which he was selected for the boot camp by one vote. The band began recording their first album Up All Night in January 2011 which they released on 18th November 2011. Within the first week of release, the album sold 176,000 copies debuting at the first rank on the United States Billboard 200, the first British band to rank first with a debut album.

In 2012, the group released their second album Take Me Home Click to look into! >> Read More... , receiving even more rave reviews than the first. They released Midnight Memories in 2013, Four in 2014 and Made In The A.M. in 2015 which was their last album before their hiatus. The album beat Justin Bieber’s Purpose, ranking one in many countries. In 2016, Niall signed a solo album and released his first solo song This Town ranking ninth on the UK Singles Chart and twentieth on the US Billboard Hot 100. He won the award for the Favorite Breakout Artist category at the People’s Choice Award 2017 for This Town. He won a nomination for the Best Solo Breakout at the iHeartRadio Music Award 2017.
