Gary Hughes

Gary Hughes is an English singer, songwriter, record artist, and composer. On 5th July 1964, he was born in Manchester, England. He is the prime songwriter and frontman of the Hard Rock band Ten. He also has a successful solo career, he has written many popular and famous songs. He has also worked with Bob Catley. He produced and wrote three solo albums for him. And he has also worked with Serpentine on his third studio album, Circle of Knives. He has also produced albums and appeared in other bands. He recently produced Hugo's first album and appeared on Vinny Burn's solo album, The Journey, and in the band Ayreon's album Ayreonauts Only. He can play many instruments like piano, keyboards, vocal guitar, and electric bass.

He started learning guitar when he was nine-year-old and went to Sale Boys Grammar School. He started his music journey in 1989 when Gary released his first album, Big Bad Wolf. He re-released his first album in 1992 by renaming it Strength of Heart in Germany and Norway. In 1992, he signed with the then-newly formed label Now & Then Records and released his first album. In 1995, he came closer with former Dare Members Vinny Burns and Greg Morgan and formed a band Melodic Hard Rock Band Ten. Then, during the same time, he released his third solo album called Precious Ones. This particular album received tremendous recognition worldwide, especially in Japan. In 2002, he started one of his life’s enormous projects, the two-album named Once and Future King was based on King Arthur's myths and Legends.

Many famous singers sang in that album Bob Catley, Lana Lane, Doogie White, Danny Vaughn, Sean Harris, etc. In 2007, he released his solo album named Veritas. In September 2012, Hughes announced on his Facebook page that he'll be co-writing and producing the band Serpentine's album. In March 2016, news spread that his band Ten had signed a new contract of multi-album deal with the label Frontier Records. Their first album would be Gothica, which continued with Ten's 13th Studio Album in July 2017. In May 2018, Gary started working on Ten’s 14th studio album Illuminati which got released in the same year. In December 2020, his label announced that he'll be releasing his 7th solo album Waterside. The album got released on 12th March 2021. He is involved in several projects at the moment. He is working on a new rock opera project and debuting a female singer in his album.
