Tracey Ullman is a British television actress, film and stage actress. She holds dual citizenship in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Tracey is a woman with multiple talents. She has worked as a singer, comedian and a screenwriter. She is also a director and a businesswoman. She was born on 30th December 1959 in Slough, Buckinghamshire. Her birth name is Tracey Ullman, but she changed it to the Tracey at her mother’s request. Her father served the Polish Army and later worked as a solicitor. Tracey lived a middle-class life as a teenager. After the death of her father, Ullman and her family went through a tough phase. Her mother used to work for the food department where she used to taste the food and tell if it was unfit for human consumption. She went to school, but she wasn’ treated nicely by her teachers and friends because of which she spent more time in pubs than classes. She attended a dance audition which got her a contract with a German ballet company. Fortunately, Ullman had a great sense of humor, because of which she was offered to work on a television series when she was just seventeen. Ullman first appeared on the British Television comedy shows named A Kick up the Eighties and Three of a Kind.

Her sense of humor and her timings of dialogue delivery were unbelievable. After working as a comedian, she tried her hand on a drama series Mackenzie. Even though her acting skills as a serious actress were appreciated by the viewers, but she found it very dull. In 1981, she again appeared in a television comedy series Four in a Million, produced by the Royal court theaters. She was cast opposite Lenny Henry and David Copperfield in Three of a Kind by BBC. The BBC was so impressed by her performance that they even offered her a TV series. In 1985, her husband persuaded her to run her TV show and thus she started The Tracey Ullman show. The show was so successful that even received Emmy Awards. The show was comprehended as uneven by some critics, but most of them appreciated her social satire. Ullman is also a singer. She joined up with the music team of the Three of Kind and released her first album. She released her album You Broke My Heart in 17 Places in 1983, and it became an international hit. Her song Breakaway reached number two in the UK. Her final song was Sunglasses in the year 1984. In1996, Tracey starred in a show,

Tracey Takes On, which focused on some topics ranging from romance to loyalty. After a small break from the T.V shows, Ullman again appeared on the small screen in the year 2008. She starred in the show named State of the Union. In 2013, she appeared in the song Queenie Eye. She also made a guest appearance in the Show How I met Your Mother in 2014, where she played the role of Robin’s mother. She returned to the big screen in 2014 with the musical movie adaption of Stephen’s Into the Woods.Tracey married Allan McKeown in 1983, and they have two children.
