Nichola Burley is an English cinema personality who has acted in various British films such as Born Equal and Donkey Punch. Born as Nichola Ann Burley on 26 December 1986 in Harehills in Leeds County, she was enrolled at Leeds’ Intake High School. In her childhood days, she got attracted towards the art of dance and developed the attraction into the hobby when she got included in the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. She was also associated with Walton School of Theatre Dance as well. Her acting journey began in 2005 when she portrayed the role of Michelle in the film Love+Hate, directed by Dominic Savage.
Love+Hate explored the issue of racism amidst a love story. She had minor roles in “The Ghost Squad” and “ Shameless Serial Story Coming Soon... >> Read More... ”, both TV series based in Britain. In 2004, she was a part of the cast of Goldplated. However, the series was not renewed for its second season after the first one received poor ratings. In 2006, Nichola tasted success when her role as Zoe in Born Equal got appreciation from all over the country. In one of the reviews, BBC hailed the show for its handling of social inequality issues faced in the country. She worked in BBC 3 show “Drop Dead Gorgeous” as Cathy McAleer. Nichola starred in Donkey Punch, a horror thriller feature which got released in 2008.
The flick is about a group of friends who fight for their lives when things went out of control in an awkward sexual encounter. People praised Nichola for executing bold scenes in the film. Cinema lovers appreciated the period drama, which was shown at the 2011 Venice Film Festival and won the award in the category of Best Cinematography. In BBC drama Candy Cabs, she rendered the role of Witney Whitehead in few episodes. She took up the role of Miss Bevan, a Liverpool-based scheming chambermaid in the hit series “Downtown Abbey.” However, her Scouse accent did not go down well the fans. She has been involved in theater as well, with Bollywood Jane and Amadeus to her name. Nichola has been romantically linked to Junior Brown.
