Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is a part of the Royal Family of England. Meghan was born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, to Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle. Her parents got separated when she was six years old. Megan's mother is African-American, while her father is Caucasian, thus making Meghan a mixed-race woman.
She completed her Higher Secondary Education from Immaculate Heart High School, Los Angeles. At the mere age of eleven, she campaigned to get a dish soap brand to change the sexist tagline for its product. The young girl wrote to Hillary Clinton, to the advertising agency behind the product, and to a few news channels.
People paid attention to what she had to say, and the company changed the tagline. The incident made Meghan realize the potential of the female voice, and thus made her so confident about her looks, her heritage, and her career.
Meghan got her Bachelor's degree in Theatre and International studies from Northwestern University, Illinois. Meghan also interned at the Embassy of America in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her acting career began with the role of a nurse in an episode of "General Hospital," an American soap opera.
Her color, which as she said herself was neither too black, nor too white, thus leaving her somewhere in the middle with fewer opportunities as an actress. Initially, she made cameo appearances in television series, including, "Century City," "The War at Home," "Deal or No Deal," and "Fringe."
The year 2011, changed the wave of her career when she bagged the role of Rachel Zane in "Suits," a series of the USA Network. The actress played the role of a paralegal in the show. Viewers loved her strong and independent character in the show.
The show made her immensely popular. She later went on to do films, titled, " Remember Me Click to look into! >> Read More... ," "Get Him to the Greek," "Dysfunctional Friends," "Horrible Bosses, " etc. She even acted in a short film named, "The Candidate." During the days of "Suits," Meghan also worked as a lifestyle blogger.
In 2016, she collaborated with a clothing company, Reitman and introduced her collection of clothing. As a woman of mixed-race, Meghan has always participated in charity projects for the cause of gender equality.
She worked as an advocate with the "United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women." Meghan also traveled to India to address the issue of gender inequality, and unhygienic menstrual health.
In 2018, Time Magazine included her name in the "100 Most Influential People in the World," list. In 2011, Meghan married her long-term boyfriend, Trevor Engel son, actor, and producer. After two years of marriage, the couple got separated due to some "irreconcilable differences."

They got into a relationship in the same year and announced their engagement in 2017. With the announcement of their engagement came the end of Meghan's acting career.
Meghan Markle tied-the-knot with Prince Harry on May 19, 2018. Meghan got married to Prince Harry at, St. George Chapel, Windsor Castle. The two now reside at the Nottingham Cottage, London.
