Anyone who is an avid viewer of Pretty Little Liars must know Aria Montgomery. Lucy Hale is the actress who portrays her onscreen. Her actual name is Karen Lucille Hale. She took birth in Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America, on June 14, 1989. Her parents' names are Preston Hale and Julie Knight. Lucy's mother worked as a nurse.

Lucy and her great-grandmother share the same name. She has two sisters. Her guardians homeschooled her. From a juvenile age, Lucy was disposed towards singing and acting and trained under a tutor. She would listen to Faith Hill, Britney Spears, Shania Twain, and Dixie Chicks but never thought of seriously pursuing singing until she heard Baby One More Time.

Lucy participated in American Juniors and was one of the top five contestants. They even formed a band but disbanded it after a lukewarm response from the audience to their compositions. Meanwhile she bagged a role in TV show Drake & Josh.

After Drake & Josh she continued to entertain the viewers with films and TV shows like Secret of the Wings, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, The Sisterhood of the Pretty Little Liars, Traveling Pants 2, A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song, and much more. Lucy has even hosted one of the episodes of Punk'd and played a prank on Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ian Harding. In 2012 Hollywood Records signed her.

They brought her on board because her voice sounded similar to Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill. Lucy released her first single two years later named You Sound Good to Me. Lucy followed it up with Lie a Little Better.

She has also sung a song in Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song. She has won numerous nominations for prestigious award shows for her character Aria Montgomery and has won those quite a few times. In 2013 Mark Girl a beauty brand signed her as their brand ambassador.

Her fans love her chemistry with her co-star Ian Harding. They have even joined hands and with the help of clothing brand Represent are selling T-shirts with their photos.

In 2012 Lucy revealed in an interview that she suffered from an eating disorder and would starve herself for days on end. Though she manages acting and singing both, her first genuine love is singing. Lucy has dated a string of guys like Tony Oller, Anthony Kalabretta, Adam Pitts, Alex Marshall, and much more.

Lupita Amondi Nyong’o was the child of to Peter and Dorothy Nyong’o and was raised in Kenya. Her father who was a senator worked as a visiting professor in political science in Mexico City, Mexico. The play depicts the time of the Second Liberian Civil War, when the rebel officer’s band’s wives formed a team until their balanced life is thrown off-track when a girl, whose role was acted by Lupita, arrives. It became the fastest selling new production and was premiered on the Broadway at the John Golden Theatre in the following year. This performance won her the Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performance Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, a Drama League Award and a Tony Award nomination. She was credited worldwide for her roles in Star Wars: Episode VIII-The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book. She resides in Brooklyn and can communicate fluently in Spanish, Luo, English, and Swahili. She is involved in Mother Health International organization, dedicated to providing the much-needed service to women and children in Uganda and other impoverished, war-torn regions. She also started a campaign called “hearts and minds” with ‘Wildaid’ to raise awareness for ivory burn and threat to the lives of elephants and rhinoceros.
