She was fat, had gaps between her teeth and was fond of eating. She tried to shape her teeth, but nothing helped. Ultimately, Jorja started working more on furnishing her acting. She forgot all about her physical stature and went on to pursue her passion. After schooling, she participated in a local beauty contest and luckily won it. She got motivated, and she began her modeling career. Not only was she good-looking but also talented. Hence, she went on learning to act under William Hickey.

Fox did the minor roles which were offered to her. But her breakthrough was in the year 1996 with her recurring role of the medical intern named Dr. Maggie Doyle on the drama ER. The twist was that she was a lesbian. People appreciated her role, but she left the show in the year 1999. She has been working without any halt. She made a short appearance in the sitcom Ellen in the year 1997 and then played the breathtaking role of a secret service agent in the political drama The West Wing by NBC. She starred in it for almost one season. Back to back, she did interesting roles. 

Fox is a determined and a bold actress. In the year 2000, a political drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was released. Fox played a beautiful role of a forensic scientist named Sara Sidle. Due to few disputes, she had to quit the show for a while but was rehired. CSI gave her a different recognition all over the world. She did many seasons of it. 

The heights to which Fox’s popularity grew is unfathomable. There were rumors that she is being taken out of the show. Just the rumors affected the people so much that they started a campaign named Called Dollars For Sense. In this campaign, people sent a dollar to the director of the show so as to keep Jorja in the show forever. It depicted the fan following she had. There were banners all around to keep Jorja in the show at any cost. When Jorja came to know about it, she handled the matter carefully. She requested a break from the TV series and asked people not to react like this, but donate the money of the campaign to the needy foster children. She left the show in 2007 and appeared again in its 9th season just as a guest star. CSI is the benchmark of her career.

The purpose of Fox in leaving CSI was producing a musical album. Her album is played in Los Angeles at the Renberg Theater. She is a music lover. She plays guitar and learns drums as well. She has worked for few songs and has done well in it. She is both a singer and a writer. She writes the scripts of films and lyrics for songs.
