She was born in Atlanta in the state of Georgia to Joe Beth, a pre-school music teacher, and Steve, an engineer. She has a younger brother named Cole.

She attended the McIntosh High School, which holds the honor of being named a ‘Georgia School of Excellence’ and a ‘National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.’ She was the captain of the dance team there. She was a member of her school’s theater program. She is trained in classical music and had once considered doing Opera. However, after bagging roles in ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, and ‘The Riches’, she made the decision to move to LA to pursue a career in acting.

Braddy made her acting debut when she starred in the TV film, ‘Pop Rocks’. She also voiced the character of Princess Yue, a moon spirit, in ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, a fantasy based animated series. The series is set in a land which is very Asian-like. In 2009, she landed her first role as the main character when she starred in the supernatural horror film, ‘Grudge 3’. Braddy played the role of Lisa, a young woman who is passionate about starting a career in fashion.

In 2012, Braddy married her ‘Video Game High School’ co-star Josh Blaylock. However, they got divorced later. Both Blaylock and Braddy have stated through their respective Twitter accounts that they remain good friends.

Currently, Braddy is in a relationship with Freddie Stroma.
