Azie Tesfai

Azie Tesfai’s other name is Azieb Goitom Tesfai and Azalech. She is an American actress, writer, and producer. She was born on December 20, 1992. Azie Tesfai’s place of birth is Orange County in California, USA. She is the only daughter of Eritrean immigrants who were raised up in Ethiopia. She took a degree in business administration at the University of California, Berkeley, California. During her college days, she started attending auditions and acting classes.

Azie Tesfai’s debut role was Cherry Milton in the American television telenovela “Wicked Wicked Games” on MyNetworkTV, where she appeared in thirty episodes over two seasons. In 2009, she portrayed the role of Zadeska in the American independent film “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead,” written & directed by Jordan Galland. In 2010, she appeared in three films, namely “Acts of Violence” (as a Betsy), “15 Minutes” (as an Arora), and “Nathan vs. Nurture” (as a Julie). The following year, Azie Tesfai made her guest appearance as Kendra in one episode of an American crime drama television series, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” created by Dick Wolf for NBC. 

In 2014, Azie Tesfai was cast as recurring detective Nadine Hanson in the CW’s American romantic comedy-drama and satirical telenovela “Jane the Virgin,” developed by Jennie Snyder Urman. The following year, she appeared in two television series, such as “Royal Pains” and “Home & Family,” and in two films, such as “Me Him Her” and “A Kind of Magic.”  In 2016, she played the role of Dawn Simon in season three of an American comedy television series, “Silicon Valley,” created by Mike Judge, Dave Krinsky, and John Altschuler.
