Jodie Sweetin is an American actress as well as a television personality. She took birth in Los Angeles, California. Uncle Sam Sweetin and his wife Janice raised Jodie as her real parents were in jail at that crucial point in time. The adoption got formalized only after she turned two years old as her father was one-fourth Native American.
Jodie was a part of theatre from high school days and performed with
Matthew Morrison in Musical Theatre. She started her acting career with the sitcom Valerie in 1987. Her character name was Pamela, and she played the part of a niece of Mrs. Poole in the following series. The year 1987 gave a big break in the television industry to her. She grabbed the role of Stephanie Tanner in
Full House and performed it till 1995. This sitcom earned her much appreciation and was the most famous role of her career life till date. After wrapping up the show, she went on to complete her graduation from Los Alamitos High School in Los Alamitos, California in 1999. She later joined Chapman University in Orange, California. Sweetin’s personal life went through some turbulence when she divorced her first husband, Shaun Holguin, who was a Los Angeles, police officer. She then married Cody Herpin, which too didn’t work out. In 2012, she married Morty Coyle, but even that ended in separation.
Sweetin became a victim of drug abuse at the age of 14 and is now a recovering drug addict. She reportedly used dangerous drugs. She donned the writer’s hat and wrote a piece of memoir named unSweetined that depicts her journey as a drug and alcohol addict.
