Joey Lauren Adams is an American actress. She even donned the cap of director and did over 40 films throughout her career. Movies like Mallrats and Chasing Amy made her career path strong, and Chasing Amy fetched her nomination in Golden Globe Awards for best actress. Joey took birth in the land of Arkansas in family confined to a father and two other elder siblings. She completed her education from North Little Rock Northeast High School in the year 1986. She shifted her base from Arkansas to California. Her career started off with minor roles in 1977. She performed a small role in Exorcist II: The Heretic. The first major break came in 1993 from the movie Dazed and Confused where she played the role of Simone.

The year 1993 brought to glory, and she grabbed a role in Coneheads. After the gap of two years, Adams did a movie called Mallrats.
