Jayma Suzette Mays was born on 16th July 1979 in Bristol, Tennessee and raised in Grundy, Virginia, USA. She is well-known for her large hazel eyes and glazy stare. Her father, James Edwin Mays was a high school teacher and also worked in the coal mining industry. Her mother’s name is Susan Paulette.
Jayma was very interested in solving maths during her school days as well as she loved to sing during those days. Jayma completed her high school in Grundy Senior High School in Virginia. After graduating from high school in 1977, Mays attended Southwest Virginia Community College to get an Associate degree. She then studied there for a year at Virginia Tech and was transferred to Radford University and in 2001, she bagged her Performing Arts degree. Later she moved to California and started her journey with an internship with actor
. Her first feature film “Red Eye” came a year later, in 2005. Her career came to a golden turn when she won the role of "Emma Pillsbury" on the hit show named “
” in 2009.
Later after three years in 2004, she made her way into the television as Molly on “Joey”, a spin-off from “
”. Unfortunately, the show worked well only for two seasons, but she was lucky to get the chance to the movies.

Mays met Adam Campbell on the sets of comedy-spoof “
” movie in 2006 where she portrayed the role of his sister. In an interview, Jayma also admitted that it was strange to fall in love with her on-screen brother. They had a wonderful chemistry as they married just a year later, they met on 28th October 2007. Jayma Mays is expecting her first child with husband Adam Campbell and is glowing. Adam confirmed her pregnancy officially during an award function.Her current project is “
