Hilary Duff

Hilary Erhard Duff is a versatile American artist, who was brought up in the City of Texas. Hilary’s parents owned a chain of provision stores in Texas. Her mother, Susan Colleen, is a movie and Music label Producer. Hilary along with her elder sister Haylie learned ballet, Music and were involved in many other extra-curricular activities. This involvement landed them in several local theatre plays. The talented sister’s mother wanted the girls to make it big in Hollywood and hence re-located to California along with her daughters.

Their father stayed back at San Antonio to look after their provision stores. Hilary studied from home and auditioned for several Television, Theatre and Cinema chances. The girls got into advertisements and so far have done various endorsements. Duff started getting a few small roles in movies such as True Women (1997) and the comical film Playing By Heart (1998). Hilary Duff landed in her debut role in the film Casper Meets Wendy, in the year 1998.

Hilary played the role of Wendy, a nice and small witch. In 1999, she was cast as Ellie, a small, but significant role in the Telefilm, The Soul Collector. Hilary won the Young Artist Award for her role in the flick. Hilary Duff shot to fame through her role in the Television series; Lizzie McGuire aired on The popular Disney Channel. Through this flick, Hilary became a Teen sensation and a most sought-after star. This teen idol reportedly dated her teen peer star Aaron Carter, for three years.

In the year 2002, Hilary appeared as the lead, in her very first full-length movie titled, Human Nature. She was also associated with the Disney channel, as a singer for the track, ‘I can't wait’ in Lizzie McGuire and the theme song for Tiki Tiki Tiki room, a show telecasted on Disney Mania.

The singles Hilary has released are Why Not, Santa Claus Lane, Metamorphosis, So Yesterday and a few more. Most of her songs are chartbusters and are high grossers. The movies to her credit are Cheaper by Dozen, A Cinderella Story and a musical flick Raise Your Voice. Hilary has had a roller coaster graph, based on her performance. The movie Raise your voice made her infamous, and she was nominated for the Worst Actress award for the same, in the year 2004.

She is known as the artist, who has been nominated thrice for the Worst Actress Award. Hilary Duff got married to her boyfriend, Mike Comrie, a Canadian Ice Hockey player, in the year 2010. The couple has a kid, Luca Cruz Comrie, who was born in the year 2012. The pair parted ways in the year 2014 but have told that they will remain as good friends.
