Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie is an English actress and model.  She is also an outstanding theatre and TV personality and even proved her caliber well even in many Hollywood movies. This actress was a trained gymnast in her childhood, but since she met with a spine injury, had to abort her career.

Later, Christie graduated from Drama Centre London in 2005 and persuaded her career. This actress used to appear in nude photographs of many magazines that shot her to fame. In this regard, she had a good relationship with a photographer named  Polly Borland, who made her appear in a noted series of photograph between 2002 and 2008 and entitled it as ‘Bunny’.

However, she had concentrated on her career too and not just modeling. Whether it is film, television or even theatre, she was raved by critics for her outstanding performances. She is well known for her performance in two plays that includes her roles as the Queen in Shakespeare's Cymbeline and portraying Mag Wildwood in Breakfast at Tiffany's. She is also well remembered for her performance as Lucifer in Marlowe's Doctor Faustus.

'. She also appeared in’ Seven Ages of Britain’ which is a BBC television documentary series and another production of BBC named 'Wizards vs Aliens'.

So far she has appeared in two short films. One is 'The Time Surgeon' and 'The Dress'. In the year 2017, she appeared in the movie 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' as Captain Phasma which was directed by  Rian Johnson. This actress has performed in the plays like 'Pravda' which was staged at Chichester Festival Theatre. This was her debut theatre role. In the year 2007, she acted in a play Mirandolina which was staged at Royal Exchange Theatre. In the year 2009, she appeared in a play 'Skin Deep' which was staged at the Leeds Grand Theatre.

This actress performed in two video games. They are 'Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and 'Star Wars Battlefront II' where she narrated the role ‘Captain Phasma’. This actress was born on 28 October, 1978.
