Geraldine Brophy, who played the plump, Ginger haired Maude in King Kong, is a famous New Zealand actress who's known for her theater and Television performances. In her 22 years of Theatre, Drama and movies she played more than 150 characters onstage. Brophy also appeared in the super hit Film “In my Father’s Den” as Detective Farnon and 2007’s fantasy adventure “The Water Horse” as Gracie. Her other screen resume includes the chief role in “How to Murder your Wife” TV picture where she played the victim and also on “Seven Periods with Mr. Gormsby” in which she appears as a school inspector. Geraldine surprised the audience by winning the Best Actress in a Feature Film for 2008’s “Second-Hand Wedding” at the Qantas Film & TV Awards. She also won many hearts by participating in the TV show “Dancing with the Stars” after Brophy and her partner Stefano Olivieri made it through the semi-finals.

Geraldine Brophy was born in Birmingham, England and currently lives in Wellington, New Zealand with her family of two daughters Zoe and Beatrice and her husband, Ross Joblin.
