Christina Schmidt

Christina was born in the year 1987 on 16th September. At present, she's 29 years old. Her sun sign is Virgo. She was born in Waterloo, Canada. Presently resides in Bradford, Ontario. She's also known as Chrissy Schmidt. She studied at the Waterloo-Oxford high school in Baden and attended Cameron Hight's College in Kitchener. She graduated as an honors student and received awards for top scores in the subjects of English and Maths. She's a plus size model and also a Canadian actress by profession. Since she was young, she always had a thing for acting, pursuing her passion; she took acting classes before qualifying herself as a professional actress. She trained with ‘Kids on Camera' and ‘The Second City', both of them being two prestigious and known companies for new, aspiring actors.

She trained alongside actor Dean Amstrong, known for his participation on the television ‘Queer as Folk' series on Showtime in the United States of America. Her dedication along with hard work led to her first role in the 2000 movie ‘Notes from the Mother'. During her teenage, she was casted in the then Canadian hit television series ‘Degrassi – the Next Generation'. The program revolves around the problems most of the teenagers face such as - drug abuse, sex, self-image, complexes, etc. She enacted a person named ‘Terri' who is insecure and conscious about things like self-image and personal appearance. As the episodes progressed, the audience witnessed her getting tangled in an abusive relationship. Christina played a regular character for 3 seasons from the years 2001 till 2004.

Seeking her sudden interest towards modeling, Christina left the show after the 3rd season. Due to the immense popularity of both the show and her character alike, Christina found herself gaining fame also due to the international television casting of her show in countries such as USA and Austrailia. On her role of ‘Terri' she states that like every other person, she finds both positives and negatives in her character. She likes the fact that her character is good and has a laid-back sort of personality. On the contrary, she finds her character's self-conscious trait unlikeable, although she believes that a lot of people can relate to it. Christina was also seen in the 2007 ad campaign for MXM, a Canadian plus size clothing line. She has also modeled for “Torrid.com”.

In 2009, she modelled at the campaign for Nygard. In 2010, she starred in the program ‘How to Look Good Naked Canada' on 'W' channel. Due to her excellent portrayal as ‘Terri,' she won the ‘Best performance in a TV series –supporting young actress' award at the ‘Young Artist Awards' in 2005. Christina states that she loves to travel and has visited many European destinations. She states that LA, Spain, and Italy are among her favorite travel destinations.
