Barbara Crampton

Barbara Crampton is an American Television and Movie Actress. She was born on 27th of December ,1958. She made her debut in the Television with the blockbuster show "The Days of our Lives" in 1983. Her film debut was in the following year that is 1984 with the flick Body Double. She was given the nickname ‘Scream Queen’ by which she was famously known later. This name was given to her due to her multiple and repetitive roles in horror movies. Her first horror film was a horror-comedy called "Re-Animator", which came out in 1985. Some of the other flicks in the same genre were Chopping Mall in 1986, From Beyond in the same year, Castle in 1995, You’re next in the year 2011 and recently in 2015 a film called We Are Still Here.

In the Television industry, she is known for playing the role of Leanna Love on the series The Young and the Restless from the year 1987 to the year 1993. Her father was a carny and hence she spent the better part of her childhood traveling. She developed a knack for acting at an early age and started acting in school stage plays. She then studied acting in high school. For her graduation , she attended Castleton State College in Vermont from where she received her degree of Bachelor’s of Arts in the subject of Theatre Arts from the year 1976 to the year 1981 . After completing her studies, for a brief period, she worked in a theater in New York. For the American Theatre of Actors, she played the role of Cordelia in the play King Lear.

She later moved to Los Angeles and started working in Television and movies. She also appeared in a nude pictorial in December edition of Playboy magazine in 1986. On the 1st of October in 1988 , she married David Boyd who is a Director of Photography. However they got divorced in the year 1990. Crampton, now lives outside the city of San Francisco with her two children and husband. She is married to Robert Bleckman.
