Pedro Pascal is a renowned Chilean actor. He was born as Jose Pedro Balmaceda Pascal on April 2, 1975 in Santiago, Chile. Shortly after his birth, when Chile was ruled under the military headed by Augusto Pinochet, Pedro’s family was given a political refuge in Denmark. He was brought up in Orange County in California and Texas. He attended Orange County School of the Arts and later went to Tisch School of the Arts of University. He then lived in New York since year 1993.

He appeared in various television series and started in year 1999 as Gregor New in the episode, Gee Your Hair Smells Evil in the fantasy-based series, Good vs Evil. Besides that, he was also part of Downtown, Undressed and the very popular television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the episode, The Freshman. Later, he appeared in Touched by an Angel, NYPD Blue and Law & Order: Criminal Intent where he bagged the role of Reggie, a kidnapper. In 2011, he was also cast in the pilot of the never-aired pilot of the . He was also seen in the medical drama series, Body of Proof as Zack Goffman. Later, he made a guest appearance in the episode, Malice in Wonderland of the crime-based series, CSI: Crime of Investigation in 2012. In 2013, Pedro was also seen in the fourth season of the fantasy-drama series, Game of Thrones and bagged the role of Prince Oberyn Martell. The actor has done television series including Nikita, Red Widow, The Sixth Gun and Homeland. In 2014, he acted in six episodes as Marcus Pike in the procedural series, The Mentalist. He is also set to play the main lead role as Javier Peña in the upcoming show, Narcos in 2015.

Pedro has done films like Earth vs Spider in 2001, Hermanas in 2005, and : The Fall of Sam Axe. He is set to appear in the upcoming films like Bloodsucking Bastards and Sweets.

He has a wide stage experience as an actor and director. He earned the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and the Garland Award for his portrayal in the play, Orphans. He has done Off-Broadway as well; he appeared in Jordan Harrison’s Maple and Vine, Based on a Totally True Story, Sand by Trista Baldwin, Some Men by Terrence McNally, Macbeth and a lot more. He is also one of the LAByrinth Theater Company member in New York City.
