His mother was from Guatemala and father from Cuba. Oscar started his career as a musician. He was the lead guitarist and singer in his band, the Blinking Underdogs. Unlike other musicians, Oscar lived a straight edge life during his musical career. Oscar Isaac was regarded as a very notorious child. He was expelled at his school level for his tantrums. Oscar Isaac started his acting career at the local theater in Miami. He was selected for a play by artistic director John Rodaz to perform at the summer festival. Isaac graduated from the Juilliard School in 2005.

Work

Isaac made his debut in 2002 featuring in the film All About the Benjamins. He was later seen in Lenny the Wonder Dog where he played the role of a detective. He became famous for his role in the 2006 film, The Nativity Story for which he won a Movie Guide Award for the film. In 2008, he was part of Che: Part One and Body of Lies. In 2009, he played the role of Jose Ramos-Horta in the film Balibo. His acting was praised in the film as he won an AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actor.
