Boyega pursued his education at the Oliver Goldsmith Primary School, where he caught the attention of the director of the Peckham Theater, Teresa Early, during one of the school’s stage plays. Boyega learned drama and theatrical skills after pocketing a scholarship. Boyega’s father initially wanted him to be a preacher but was always extremely supportive of his son’s passions. Boyega also attended the Westminster City School, where he was actively involved in various stage plays. Later on, Boyega secured a National Diploma in the field of Performing Arts. During his college days, Boyega played the protagonist in a production of the Shakespeare’s, “Othello.” Boyega started training at Hackney’s Identity School of Acting, where he featured in “Six Parties.” Boyega was cast in various stage plays at the Royal National Theater and the Tricycle Theater. In 2011, Boyega featured in the sci-fi movie, “Attack on the Block.”

He >> Read More... , and in “Junkhearts,” “Law & Order: The UK,” and “ Becoming Human Story Coming Soon >> Read More... .” In 2013, Boyega was cast in “Half of a Yellow Sun,” a film adaptation of a book of the same name, and in “The Whale.” The Kiefer Sutherland starrer “24: Live Another Day,” featured Boyega in a brief role. “Imperial Dreams” saw Boyega play the lead role in 2014. 2015 marked Boyega’s rise to fame where he was cast as Finn in the cult film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Boyega’s career received an impetus, and also pocketed him a BAFTA: Rising Star Award, Empire Award for the Best Male Breakthrough Performance, and nominations for various other Awards.
