Born in Hasselby, neighboring Stockholm, KareHedebrant is a Swedish actor, who was a part of “Adolf Fredrick’s Music School” during teenage years. In the year 2008, Hedebrant depicted the character of “Oskar” in the movie, “Let the Right One In”, a movie which was a mix of two genres, romantic and horror. The selection for the role of Oskar wasn’t as simple as one would think it to be, given that Hedebrant was chosen as Oskar from a crowd of four thousand children, in the year 2007.
The movie is about how Oskar, a bullied kid forms a bond of friendship with a girl named, Eli, who further down the line, turns out to be a mysterious, paranormal creature called, vampire. For this role, Kare Hedebrant was praised quite a lot by the audience and the critics. He was the receiver of a number of nominations (Best Performance in an International Feature Film- Leading Young Performers) in quite a number of award functions namely, “30TH Annual Young Artist Awards”, “Online Film Critics Society Awards”, and “Fangoria Chainsaw Awards”. In the year 2005, he was approached to play the titular role for the movie named, “Emil I Lonneberga”. He was “Emil” in the movie, which was founded on the widespread children’s novels by the writer, Astrid Lindgren.
Hedebrant was asked to be the lead character in the movie, “Amors Baller,” a Norwegian romantic comedy film, in the year 2010. The movie is about a boy named, Lucas (Kare Hedebrant) who shifts to a small Norwegian town and consequently falls in love with a girl, who is the goalkeeper of a local girl’s football team. Further, he was “Tobias” in the Swedish sci-fi television series, “Real Humans”, (the year 2012). A musical rock band called, “The Broadcasting Service” has Kare Hedebrant included in it.
