Frank Wendell Walker was born on March 12, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, U.S. He is an American actor, voice artist, stand-up comedian, impressionist with a career spanning nearly six decades. He is best recognized for voicing Fred Jones in the Scooby-Doo franchise since 1969. Apart from this, he also voiced Megatron and Soundwave in the Transformers franchise, Garfield on the Garfield show, and Nibbler on Futurama, as well as numerous animal vocal effects in many works.
In 2016, he was honored with an Emmy Award as an appreciation for his lifetime achievements. For his college, he shifted to California and enrollment himself in Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California. He majored in theatrical arts. In 1966, he received honors for his performance as the cowardly Lion in the college’s theater production of The Wizard of Oz. He started his career by voicing over in a commercial for Friskies dog food.
