Jurgen Prochnow

Jürgen Prochnow is a German-born American actor. He was born on 10th June 1941 in Berlin. His upbringing was in Düsseldorf. He has a brother, Dieter, who is elder to him. He pursued to learn to act from Folkwang Hochschule, Essen. Although being a German actor, he became a successful actor in Hollywood. Jürgen played Arnold in the movie where he reflected on his political career in California.

He also appeared as the opponent in the movie "Beerfest" by a famous American comedy group, the submarine scene in the film which was identical to a scene in "Das Boot". It was released both in theatres and TV miniseries and was an adaptation of Lothar-Günther Buchheim's German novel of the same name. The movie was set up for the events that took place to U-96 and its crew during the WWII. The critics appreciated Jürgen character Kapitänleutnant and acclaimed him for the role.

He played the role of a 30-year-old army officer who has got issues with boys in his troops. The title role in the movie series “Terminator,” was offered to him. He played supporting roles in the film, Commander Paul Gerald. For the German versions of first two installments of the Rocky series, he dubbed Sylvester Stallone's voice. He got a scar due to an accident on the sets of Dune. He was drugged and fastened to a stretcher. Later a high-energetic bulb placed over Prochnow fly into pieces because of overheating resulting in the draining of the molten glass, but he freed himself just before the glass fused fell where the actor fastened.

During 1970, he married and has a daughter named Johanna, she passed away on 1987. Later, he had a daughter and a son named Mona and Roman with Isabel Goslar whom he married in 1982 but later in 1997 they got divorced. His current residencies are both in a city in California and Munich (Germany). He is currently involved with a German actress and screenwriter Birgit Stein. In 2003, he received his American citizenship. He collected the Best Actor Award in Bavarian awards in 1985. He currently holds American and German citizenship.
