Analysis

The people, who had watched it as the cartoon and enjoyed might find it a bit difficult to watch it as a feature film. Although many know the Aladdin and the Genie story, it is interesting to watch it on the screen in any form, either as the cartoon or with the real actors. The director has brought the story well and projected Jafar’s role excellently. However, some of the scenes are forcefully inserted and look quite odd. The cinematography is great and the animation works are wonderful too. Yet, if the film had been trimmed a bit, it would have been better.

What’s There?

  • Script, screenplay and direction are good
  • Animation work is fantastic
  • Performance of the stars receive appreciation

What’s Not There?

  • Feels dragging after a certain time
  • Songs and the dance scenes are forcedly added

Verdict

If we omit those negative points and watch the film, the film will definitely impress. Aladdin – watch-worthy!
