George Clifton James, born to Grace and Harry James on May 29, 1921, in Spokane, Washington, US, is an American Actor. He is a decorated World War Two Veteran who served for three and a half years in the South Pacific. Some of his decorations include Purple Heart, Combact Infantary Badge, Silver Star etc. He got married twice, first to Donna Lea Beach for three years having one child and then to Laurie Harper having five children.
He resides in Newyork with Laurie for almost sixty years. James got famous for his roles in the James Bond films like ‘Live and Let Die’ and ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’. His other films include The Untouchables, The Last Detail, Eight Men Out etc. He was seen as a Southerner in many roles despite being a New Yorker. Clifton appeared in many Television Serials as well inlcuding Captains and the Kings, two episodes of “The A-Team” ( Pros and Cons & The White Ballot ), All My Children and many such serials.
