Austin Stowell

Austin Stowell was born on 24th December, 1984, in the Kensington city of Berlin, United States of America. He also grew up in Kensington. He is the son of Robert Stowell, who is a retired steelworker, and Elizabeth Stowell, who is a school teacher by profession. His height is 6 feet 1 inch.

Austin did his schooling from the Berlin High School and graduated in 2003. He then joined the University of Connecticut, Storrs, to pursue Majors in Dramatic Arts. He was also a member of the Connecticut Repertory Theater group and played some major roles in the productions like, It Can’t Happen Here, As You Like It, and Julius Caesar. He also majored in Fine Arts from the same university in 2007.

At the age of 24, Austin made his television debut on the show, Secret Girlfriend, in 2009. It was an American show broadcasted on the channel, Comedy Central, in which he played the role of Chad. He acted only in the first episode, titled You Get An Aquarium Girl.

His second show was the ABC family TV show, Secret Life of The American Teenager, in 2009. He acted in the second season and did fifteen out of twenty-four episodes. In this show, he played the role of Jesse. The story is about the lives of a few young adults and their relationships. This show was a great success and got him fame.

His first film was the Dolphin Tale of 2011. This was an American family drama film by Charles Smith. The story was inspired by the rescue story of a dolphin named Winter, from Florida. It was based on the incident that happened in 2005. Austin had to play the role of Kyle Connellan, who was the cousin of Sawyer (swimming champion). In the movie, Kyle joins the army to earn money to participate in the Olympics, but unfortunately, he ends up getting injured in the field and comes back home prematurely.

Austin is currently working on three big productions including, Stratton: First Into Action. It is a British thriller film by Simon West. The movie is expected to release in mid-2016. In this film, he is playing the lead role of Hank. The film also stars Gemma Chan and Dominic Cooper. His other two upcoming movies are ‘Colossal’ (releasing in 2016), and Battle of the Sexes (releasing in 2017).
