Vaughan Sivell was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, the United Kingdom on 30th November 1976. Aged 42 years, Vaughan is known for his roles in ‘Mr. Calzaghe’ released in 2015, ‘Third Star’ in 2010 and ‘Hotel Gitmo.’ He is a producer as well as an actor. When star casting was done for Anakin Skywalker, Vaughan Sivell became one among the only three actors in the world to be screen tested to play that role. He has won several awards for his movies. Third Star’s script had a good ranking in the Brit-List and got nominated for a BAFTA Cymru award. In 2015, Vaughan Sivell made news with a critically acclaimed movie named ‘Mr. Calzaghe’, his directorial debut. It was a documentary on a Welsh boxing champion of the same name. This film went on to become such a big hit; it bagged three BAFTA Cymru awards including Best Director and Special Achievement in Film Craft. ‘Mr. Calzaghe’ was financed by Gennaker Group and released by eOne. Western Edge Pictures and Gennaker Group together have many productions to their credit- ‘The Canal’ directed by Ivan Kavanagh which released at Tribeca in 2014. Another short film ‘Balcony’ directed by Toby Holden became a multi-award winner. It is on its way to winning an Academy Award.

It is a comedy sci-fi movie about three young scientists. ‘The Morgan Line’ is also in its baby steps which are funded by Gennaker Group is a movie about three young men and is a comedy feature. A documentary directed by Vaughan, ‘Pistorius’ was the story which explores the Paralympic and Olympic athlete and convicted murderer against the political situation in South Africa. It also narrated the tragedy of Reeva Steenkamp’s death. The feature documentary represented by Content Media was released in 2017. Vaughan has also produced a theatre narrative ‘Eigengrau’ which was critically acclaimed and selected for ‘Brits off Broadway’ after it successfully sold out its shows at Bush Theatre.
