Marc was born in Bloomington, United States. Marc is a music producer and director. Marc is married to Jane Herman, and they have one child. Marc is the director of the famous movie series of the Marvel character Spider-Man. He later directed the 2012 Spider-Man reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man, and its 2014 sequel. Marc made his directorial debut with the romantic comedy 500 Days of Summer. Marc is a graduate of New York University. Marc won the award from Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Series Long Form. Marc also directed and composed music for various television shows like Spinning the Web and Invasion: Earth.
