Justin Benson

Justin Benson is an American editor, writer, director, and producer. He was born on 9th June 1983 in San Diego, California, US. He has been active in the industry since 2012 till date. He wrote a thriller-horror film, “Resolution” in his debut year and went forward to direct it along with his filmmaking partner Aaron Scott Moorhead. It was a story on Michael who commits to getting his best friend Chris not to drink and get his life back.

With these intentions, Michael plans to convince Chris to visit rehab center before his drug addiction leads to his death. His attempts to rescue his friend's life takes an unanticipated turn as both of them confront personal devils, their past actions, and forces which were beyond their control. The duo were interns at Ridley Scott Production Company, and they stuck together and went ahead to direct a lot of commercials and music videos and eventually went on together to deliver some of the off-beat movies of all time.

They also worked together for V/H/S: Viral. The duo also went ahead with a project called Beasts about Aleister Crowley. In 2014, Justin Benson co-directed the romantic science fiction movie “Spring” along with Aaron Scott Moorhead, which went on to be one of the best-reviewed genre films. With the success of the movie “Spring”, the director followed the path and went on to co-direct another movie in 2015 names “Beasts.”

The movie "Spring" which premiered at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival. The concept and filming of the venture are more or less identical to “Resolution” which the duo co-directed. The film lead, Nadia Hilker was supposed to enact a different accent and who was genuinely intelligent in real life to concrete her role in the project, the actress played “Louise” an outstanding role which was appreciated by the critics. They auditioned her for the particular role through Skype.
