David Robert Mitchell is an American film director and writer. He was born in 1974 in Michigan but was brought up in Clawson. Mitchell went to a film school in Florida and after completing it, he moved to Los Angeles. Mitchell started his film career with a short movie ‘Virgin’ which he had written and directed in the year 2002. The short movie starred Carolina Castro and Cameron Diskin. The story of the movie was a local legend who sees a vision of Virgin Mary that leads him to the pursuit of true love. Mitchell’s talent as a writer and a director was recognized through his work. Mitchell was always into directing movies and after a long time of hard work, he finally made his debut feature film in the year 2011 which was ‘The Myth of the American Sleepover’; the movie is about four young people searching for love and adventure on the last weekend of their summer.
