24 is an American television series full of action and drama. Nidhi and her sibling Divya have their label called Walnut. Walnut hit the stores in 2008 with their Spring Summer collection. The aim to launch Walnut was to applause each woman’s selfdom. Their design line varies from western to Indo-western. Walnut is marketed through different stores in India and the Middle East.

Carmen Thompson is a Canadian costume and fashion designer of Native American descent. She predominantly works as a freelance designer for movies and TV. Born and brought up in British Columbia in Canada. Her father, Art Thompson, was an artist hailing from the Ditidaht Tribe from Vancouver Island while her mother, Cathy, is from the Kyuquot Tribe. Carmen took inspiration from her parents and developed interest towards designing. After completing high school, Carmen attended Camosun College where she studied Computer Science. She graduated in 1994 and enrolled at University of Victoria for a degree in Business Administration. Later in 2005, Carmen won a scholarship to study fashion designing in the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She graduated in 2007 and in the same year, she appeared as an extra in the movie “Lake Dead”. She also secured a position as a costume designer for different TV and award shows. Her portfolio expanded over time and it went on to cover the wardrobe department as well. She has 62 films to her credits, like the Bollywood movie “Kambakkht Ishq” and Hollywood films like “Death Warrior”, “Saving Grace B. Jones”, “Death Calls”, “The Final Song”, “Blood Pays Blood”, “Legends of the Hidden Temple”, etc. She has also supervised the wardrobe of many awards shows like MTV Awards, Nickelodeon Awards, BET Awards, Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, ESPY Awards and so on. She has also been the costume designer for over 50 TV shows. She is also a businesswoman. She runs her line of clothing called the “TlaKwa Designs”. After her father passed away in 2003, Carmen incorporated his designs into her own work. She, thus, manufactured over 60 hoodies with her father’s handmade design printed onto them, in 2013 especially for the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. Carmen currently resides in New York and continues to work for movies and TV, besides running her business.
