Piero Basso is an Italian Cinematographer. He is born and raised in northern Italy, and he graduated from Summa Cum Laude with an MA in Liberal Studies from the University of Turin and further specialised in Cinema Studies. He collaborated with directors like Gianluca and Massimiliano de Serio and Susanna Nicchiarelli. After initially staying in Italy, he moved to the USA. He joined the AIC (Italian Association of Cinematographers). Basso was the cinematographer for Sette Opere di Misericordia. He had shot multiple feature films like Min Alesh, The Independents and so on. Piero became the Chair of the Cinematography Program for the New York Film Academy, at the New York Campus.
