Paul Sarossy, CSC, BSC, ASC, was born on April 24, 1963 and is a Canadian cinematographer, and film director. He has worked with the famous filmmaker Atom Egoyan on twelve full-length movies, including The Adjuster, Exotica, Speaking Parts, The Sweet Hereafter, Adoration, Felicia's Journey, Ararat, Where the Truth Lies, Chloe, and The Captive & Remember Devil's Knot. Apart from being nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and an Independent Spirit Award, he has won a Gemini Award, five Genie honors for Best Achievement in Cinematography, and five Canadian Society of Cinematographers honors.
He made his directing debut with the year 2003 with the general release of the 2001 British crime drama Mr. In-Between at the Toronto International Film Festival. Geraldine O'Rawe, who is a Northern Irish actress, is Sarossy's wife. He belongs to the British, American, and Canadian Societies of Cinematographers. He has credited cinematographers Vittorio Storaro, Sven Nykvist, filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci, and Néstor Almendros as having had a significant influence on his body of work.
