Ben Wolf was a Hollywood Cinematographer. He was born on August 19, 1921, in New Jersey, USA. He was known for his work on ‘CBS Playhouse’ in 1967, ‘Brigadoon’ in 1966, and ‘CBS: On the Air’ in 1978. He was not only a cinematographer and director but also an owner of Brooklyn based film production Company Topiary Productions, Inc. A graduate of Yale in B.A. Philosophy and Columbia in MFA Film Directing, he worked worldwide in all genres.
In recent years, he had only focused primarily on documentary and commercial work, with an emphasis on using new technology to bring cinematic production values to modestly-sized projects. He strived to bridge traditional divides- bringing documentary realism to fiction projects, dramatic story-telling to documentaries, and the latest digital cinema technology to the art of photography. Ben Wolf died on November 8, in Los Angeles, California, in the USA.
