Parth Thakerar is a British actor and theatre artist. Born to Indian parents in England on September 4, 1989, he grew up in England, UK. He is best recognized for his character JJ in the British TV series Brassic. Although well-known as a TV actor, he did many films and theatres. Interested in acting from a young age, Parth pursued BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He graduated in 2013. After graduation, Parth professionally started performing on theatre stages. He started gaining fame as a stage player. Parth’s performance in National Theatre Live: The Hard Problem (2015) was praiseworthy. After that, he continued playing on some popular stage dramas such as Macbeth, King Charles III, Arcadia, King Lear and The Problem. He also performed on The Invisible Hand for Tricycle Theatre. Parth started getting gigs on television series and movies during his time in theatre.
He took a small role in one episode of the classic detective drama series Midsomer Murders (2017). Next, he appeared in one episode of Grantchester (2017). Parth then appeared in the Peacock’s Original series Brave New World (2020). Then, he took a recurring role in the BAFTA-nominated BBC One series Vigil (2021).
In the police procedural drama, Parth played the MI5 officer. He continued performing in recurring roles in some British series like Starstruck (2022) and Suspicion (2022). In 2022, he took his next role in the Netflix original movie The Weekend Away (2022). In the psychological thriller film, he played the character Jay. The Sky Original series is one of the longest-running most-loved television series of Sky TV. Parth also voiced in a few episodes of the BBC Radio 4 podcast series Tommies (2015-2018). In 2021, he appeared briefly in the British TV series Dalgliesh (2021).
