Aidan Gillen is an Irish actor born on 24 April 1968 in Drumcondra, Dubin, Ireland. He has acted in many famous movies and sitcoms like “ The Dark Knight Rises Click to look into! >> Read More... The Dark Knight Rises ” and “Game of Thrones.” He studied at St. Vincent’s C.B.S. in Glasnevin. His early years were full of struggle. While speaking to ‘The Guardian,’ he told that there were periods of loneliness and he had to do a few odd jobs. He started off his acting career by doing theater in Dublin playing Nick Bottom in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” before moving to London.

In London, Gillen auditioned for many roles and finally got selected to portray Stuart Alan Jones in the controversial and popular television series “Queer as Folk.”Gillen acted so well in this that he received the British Academy Television Award and was also nominated for Best Actor. 

Later, Gillen acted in a play called “The Caretaker” which proved a blessing for him as he was noticed by many producers and was cast in highly acclaimed TV series “The Wire.” Gillen also acted in the movie “ 12 Rounds Click to look into! >> Read More... 12 Rounds .” In 2011, he was asked to play the role of “Petyr Littlefinger Baelish” in the most famous and most popular sitcom “Game of Thrones.” He got the confirmation for the role in 2010 and was one of the first members to be cast. For this role, he was nominated for Irish Film and Television Award. Gillen has appeared in all five seasons of the sitcom.

In 2012, Gillen played the role of CIA Agent Bill Wilson in “The Dark Knight Rises.” His outstanding acting skills made him win six awards. Gillen separated from his wife Olivia O’Flanagan with whom he had had two children. After the split, Gillen moved to Dublin. Gillen is currently hosting “Other Voices” and shooting for his upcoming films.
