Nick Hancock is best known for hosting the reality show They Think It's All Over. Nick hosted a sports quiz for a long time that drew huge crowds to each site and featured many celebrity guests. Scratch is also remembered fondly for bringing Room 101 on television and radio, believing it amusing when celebrity guests of the show got themselves into trouble for their room 101 parts. When Scratch was a part of Footlights, Cambridge University's theatrics club, he discovered his passion for acting and entertainment.
He shared the stage with future Stars, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. After finishing his studies at Homerton College, Nick became a sports coach and began rehearsing his stand-up comedy act alongside instructing. Nick started acting and introducing himself soon after, forming a satire combination with Neil Mullarkey that appeared on shows such as, After Ten with Tarbuck.
Nick has been keenly interested in a variety of shows from his initial appearance. Mr. Bean, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, and Me, You, and Him are just a few of the series in which he's appeared. Scratch has also appeared in documentaries, with his most famous appearance being in The Outsiders, a satire of the Iranian national football team's story. He's also written Pleasure Beach, a tale about Blackpool's famous carnival. Great Railway Journeys of the World, Nick Hancock's Fishing School, Win My Wage, Duel, and Taste the Nation are just a few of the other introductory credits. Nick has also had radio introducing credits in addition to his TV appearances.
He's done radio coverage for Danny Baker and Colin Murray, as well as introducing for Signal 1, a Stoke-on-Trent radio station. Scratch has also appeared on The Chase and has joined the board of directors for BBC America's Wait... Don't Tell Me! Scratch has also been linked to TV specials such as Red Nose Day: The Ultimate Makeover, in which he helped to improve the lives of individuals less fortunate than himself.
Nick has established a solid reputation for emceeing and is now in high demand to appear as a host and after-dinner speaker at a variety of events.
