Giles Matthey

Giles Matthey, a British actor, is known for starring in the television series True Blood, biographical film Jobs, Ford v Ferrari, television series NCIS, and 24: Live Another Day.

Matthey was born on November 11, 1987, in Australia to an Austrian mother and a British father. When he was two years old, his family relocated to London, and Matthey spent his childhood days in Wandsworth, London.

The actor’s father, John died when he was a mere child. His mother, Kerrin is an interior designer. He also has a sister named Arabella, who works as a security consultant in Melbourne, Australia. He has a step-brother named Luke Pritchard, a musician with the band The Kooks. He also has a half-brother named Lee Strasberg.

Giles made his acting debut with the American television series The Good Wife, which was telecast on CBS. He appeared as Dick Anders in the episode titled Affairs of State. The following year, he portrayed the character Claude Crane in the series True Blood, aired on HBO. The actor was cast in a supporting role as the Apple designer Jony Ive in the 2013 biographical film Jobs.

Matthey landed his first lead role in the 2014 flick Boulevard, helmed by Dito Montiel. The flick premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was later showcased at the Frameline, Montclair Film Festival, and Seattle Film Festival. The same year he grabbed a role in the television series 24, aired on Fox, featuring as Jordan Reed.

In 2015, Giles starred in the role of Daniel Budd in three episodes of the American police crime drama NCIS, conceived by Don Mc Gill and Donald P. Bellisario. The actor portrays a young man who helms a terrorist group the Calling. From 2016-2017, Matthey featured in the ABC’S fantasy series Once Upon A Time, where he portrays older Gideon, son of Belle and Rumplestiltskin’s.
