Bear Grylls

Bear Grylls is an American Adventurer and a television presenter. He was born on 7 June 1974 in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. His real name is Edward Michaels. His father, Sir Michael Grylls, was a politician. He belongs to a strong, cricketing background family. His grandfather, Neville Ford, and his great-grandfather, William Augustus Ford, were both first-class cricketers. He started learning how to climb and sail from an early age. In his teenage, he learned to do skydiving and also earned a black belt in Shotokan karate.

He did his studies at Eaton House, Ludgrove School, and Eton College, where he started his training in climbing mountains. He learned Spanish and German at the University of the West of England, Bristol. And he did his graduation with a 2:2 Bachelor's Degree. After completing his studies, he joined the Territorial Army with 21 SAS as a trooper, where he briefly hiked in the Himalayan Mountains of Sikkim and West Bengal. In 2004, he was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve. Then, in 2013, he was awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Marines Reserve.

His Journey includes a lot of achievements, which are climbing Everest, Circumnavigating the UK, Crossing the North Atlantic, having a Dinner party at altitude, Paramotoring over the Himalayas, a Journey to Antarctica, the longest indoor freefall, and a Northwest Passage expedition. He has been invited as a guest in several talk shows such as Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno There goes a saying that laughter is the best medi >> Read More... , etc.

He has also done web series which is based on survival techniques. He has also led a group of eleven people in the TV show Escape the Legion. He has done several survival shows, such as Man Vs. Wild, Worst Case Scenario, Bear's Wild Weekend, Get Out Alive, Escape from Hell, The Island, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, etc. He is also the brand ambassador of United24.
