“Balika Badhu”, is a romantic drama serial based on the novel of the same name written by Shri Bimal Kar. The serial is based on the late 19th and early 20th century, a time when India was struggling for freedom. The story depicts the life of a young girl who is married off to another young boy, both of them young enough to not understand the whole concept and point of marriage. Gradually after the whole ordeal, as they grow up, they get to understand each other. They know that they trust each other and as time passes, they grow closer and begin to fall in love. Will they accept each other and stand side by side when life starts to throw all the major obstacles their way or will they grow apart?
