Koel Mallick is precisely the present No 1 actress in Bengali cinema. She is the daughter of actor . She is the choice of every film producers in Bengal, who feel she is the exact glamour girl suitable for run-of-the mill romantic films. She has been cast frequently with Jeet( Bengal heartthrob) and the pair is the darling of the masses. She has been active in Bengali films since 2002, when she made her debut. Koel Mallick made her debut opposite Jeet in Nater Guru. That was 12 years ago when Koel was a college student. After Nater Guru the two have done 12 films together, and’ Bandhan’, ‘Shubhodrishti’ and’ ’, are highly appreciated by audiences.

Koel Mallick’s real name is Rukmani Mallick. Her love and romance had integrated with Producer Neshpal Singh and they got married in 2013, but the couple got separated now. Over the last few years, Bengali films have kept her extremely busy and as her films are doing extremely well in the box-office, she has no time to come to Mumbai and try her luck in Bollywood. Of late, her films are even being premiered in Mumbai. Though she received some offers from Mumbai, she has been extremely choosy in selecting the roles.
