Haridhan Mukherjee was an Indian actor born on November 10, 1907 in 24 Parganas, British India. His real name was Deenbandhu Mukherjee. He got his Education from AV School Shyambazar. Haridhan had a passion for singing from a young age and learnt the Ramayana gaan on his own. He became a famous singer in his neighbourhood and was appreciated by Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi for his singing skills. Haridhan started acting in plays in the neighbourhood and was appreciated by Pramatesh Bharua and Shishir Bhaduri. Bhaduri then offered him a role in his play Maya. From then on, Haridhan acted in multiple plays like Kabi, Ulka, Debdas, Samadhan, and many others. His first film was Khasdakhal, which has been released in 1943. Other movies of his include Antony Firingee, Fuleswari, Maryada, Vidyasagar, The Holy Man, and many others.
