“Krishnam” is the family thriller scripted by PN Balaram and directed by Dinesh Baboo. Besides scripting, PN Balaram produced the film. Akshay Krishnan, Ashwarya Ullas, “Saikumar,” Shanthi Krishna, VK Prakash, Renji Panicker, “Mukundan” and Anjali Nair are in the star cast. Hari Prasad composed the songs and Dileep Singh scores the BGM. Director Dinesh Baboo cranked the camera and Abhilash Balachandran edited the film.

Akshay, the college student, has good bonding with his father, Balakrishnan. Balakrishnan is a successful entrepreneur and his wife Meera is a caring homemaker. Everyone in his college likes Akshay for his behavior. Balakrishnan is very close to his son and he even suggests his son in solving a love affair with Radhika. During a dance competition, something unusual happens to Akshay and everything turns upside down. What happens next? Watch it on the big screen!

Star Performance

Saikumar plays his role perfectly. His expressions are awesome. Renji Panicker, Shanthi Krishna and the others have done justice to their roles. Akshay should learn more before facing the camera.

Dinesh Babu makes his comeback with this film, after “Mazhavillu,” which released in 1999. But, he hadn’t come with the right script. The film which is said to be the own story of Akshay Krishnan didn’t suit the modern era and sounds like an exaggerated story. However, Dinesh Baboo’s cinematography and the music by Hari Prasad are extremely good.

What’s There?

  • Saikumar’s performance is appreciable
  • Dinesh’s cinematography is mind-blowing; especially in the song sequences

What’s Not There?

  • The screenplay is not impressive
  • The story doesn’t suit the modern period

Although there are a few positives in the film, this exaggerated sentimental story doesn’t suit this modern world. People, who like sentimental movies, could try this.
