Plot
Sooraj (Arjun Ashokan) is a young boy who studies at Payyannur College. His ambition is to become a singer, and for which he wants to study music at Rahman’s institute. He is in love with a girl in his college (Mamita Baiju). His father, Rajeev (Manoj KU), is a local village officer, and his mother, Anushree (Anaswara Rajan), is a housewife.
Though Rajeev is a hard-working man, his mind is still like a seventeen-year-old child. Rajeev meets his first college girlfriend, Meera (Miya George), and falls in love again. The son is busy with her college love, and the father re-enters his past relationship. Both are busy in their love, and nobody cares about Anushree and her wishes. She cooks, washes clothes, and does all the household chores, but nobody realizes her importance.
Things become interesting when Sooraj sees a diary in which her mother has described her love life, including her previous love, Vinod (Hakkim Shah). After this, the father and son go to Kalyassery to uncover the truth. They realize the importance of Anushree after some incidents.
What are the unexpected incidents that change Sooraj and his father Rajeev completely?
Star Performance
Arjun Ashokan gave a laudable and remarkable performance. His body language and expressions are according to the situation. His love chemistry with Mamita Baiju looks beautiful. His love for singing is relatable to the viewers. Hakkim Shah and Anaswara Rajan perfectly executed their respective characters. They are the strength of the film’s second half. Manoj KU, Sarath Sabha, and Mamitha Baiju did everything required. Every character tried their best for this film.
Analysis
First love remains forever in a person’s heart. The film Pranaya Vilasam explores the freshness and the magic of first love. The writers show the life of a housewife whose life revolves around his son and husband, but they don’t value her love. Only after an incident do they realize her importance.Â
The second half is more interesting than the first and focuses on Anushree and his ex-lover, Vinod. Some funny moments also begin in the second half when the father-son duo tries to locate Vinod. Shaan Rahman's music enriches the love elements.
