Malayalam Awards Asianet Film Awards 2016

The Asianet Film Awards is an award ceremony held to honour the artistic and technical excellence of Malayalam films. It is presented by Asianet, a Malayalam television network. In 2016, the function was sponsored by Nirapara, which is a KKR group rice brand.

In 2016, the 18th Asianet Film Awards were held in Karukutty to honour the winners of 2015 from the Malayalam film industry. The function opened with a welcome speech by the anchor, followed by an introductory classical dance performance. Special guest was called onto the stage to present awards to the winners. In between award presentation, actors and actresses gave dance performances, and famous singers sang songs to entertain the audience.
