Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, is a singer and a musician, specialized in playing a rare and a beautiful instrument, Gayatri Veena. She was born on 7th of October, 1981, with visual impairment. Gifted with a beautiful voice, but she was deprived of the pleasure of seeing the world. And that hasn't stopped her ever from reaching high and chasing her dreams. She won special jury mention for her very first song Katte Katte for the movie Celluloid. She learned about 100 ragas in just a year, all by herself from listening to them, and started making her compositions. Though all the great musicians of all times have said music requires having training from a knowledgeable teacher. But this lady, surprised everyone with her talent and lust for learning, all by herself by getting better and better. Within ten years, she had performed over 400 stages in Chennai, Madurai, Tanjore, Coimbatore and many major cities all over the country. She also played and sung in many temple festivals. But that wasn't enough to get her going, so she started her career in movies. She has sung in over 20 movies and has grabbed a handful of awards for them. She even acted and appeared in a movie called Ezhu Deshangalkkum Akale. And not just Malayalam, she even sang in some Tamil movies as well. Her wish is to be able to see at least once in her lifetime. She's been looking for ways to have operated and installed with Bionic Eyes. After that, she hopes to live a peaceful and settled life.

Sithara Krishnakumar, or as we call her Sithara, is a splendid playback singer. She started off her career in 2007 with her first song ‘PammiPammi’. She got a kick to her profession after winning several musical talent shows like AsianetSapthaSwarangal (2004), Kairali TVGandharvaSangeetham and Jeevan TV Voice. She has now given her voice to over fifty film songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Her forte is folk and fusion genres of music. Sithara is on a musical roller-costar with a specialty in various styles including Hindustani classical, Carnatic and Gazals. Born in Kozhikode, Kerala, this lady started to sing at the age of as early as four. She was born and brought in the music world as the family was already inclined towards classical art. She began her career as a classical dancer but eventually turned out to be a playback singer. Sithara firstly was put under the guidance of Sri Ramanattukara Sathish and Pala C.K Ramachandran, who initially trained her in Carnatic classical music. Later on, Sithara decided to take some formal training in Hindustani music under Sri Vijayasenan and UstadFiyaz Khan, which she is still shadowing. She went to St. Paul's Higher Secondary School, Thenhipalam and Calicut University Campus School. She completed her graduation in English Literature from Farook College, Feroke and went on to pursue her Master's degree in the subject from Calicut University, Kerala.Sithara also has her own musical band Eastraga. Talking about achievements, she won the Kerala State Award for the Best Female Singer (2012) for 'Enundodee' from the film called Celluloid. She was also nominated for the Best Female Playback Singer Award at Star Vijay Awards and FilmFare Awards South in 2013. She received the Best Female Playback Singer award in Malayalam at South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) in 2014 After her debut with ‘PammiPammiVanne’she gained success with the songs like ‘Vinniloodangingu’, ‘Thanka Thamizh’and many more.


Najim Arshad

Born on 8th June, 1986 to parents Thirumala Shahul and Rehma in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Najim Arshad is a famous Indian playback singer working in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil film industries. His father is a retired administrative officer from Vigilance Department while his mother is a music teacher. He has two brothers one is a doctor, and the other is an engineer. He feels proud to say that both of them are musicians too. He has been undergoing training in Carnatic music vocal under Gurunathan Sri H. Raja in S.S.T College of Music since 1995 and in violin by Sri Rathinam and Sri Kadanad Haridas. Najim rose to fame after winning the 2nd season of Idea Star Singer 2007. He debuted as a playback singer in 2007 in Mission 90 Days which is a Malayalam film. He is known for his collaboration with all music composers in Malayalam film industry. As a music lover, Najim is committed to music and is highly obliged to his parents, teachers and others for their support and blessings. Some of his famous albums include Diamond Necklace, Onnum Parayaathe, Meghamalhar, I’m  here, Doctor Love, Red Wine, and Casanova. He received awards from Mangalam Publications film awards for the best male singer, EFA Award for the voice of the year in 2015 and the best singer by Kerala film critics association in 2013. He, however, says that awards do not help in career growth, but experience does. Najim received enormous appreciation after his performance in the 10th season of Amrita Film Awards which is a prestigious film award of Malayalam cinema on 20th December, 2014. He also got to work with famous Malayalam personalities like  Jassie Gift, Vini Thomas, etc. In leisure time, Najim loves writing lyrics, composing music and innovating new styles in music. Some of his upcoming releases include Rasputin, Nikkah, Just Married and Paathshala.
