Chandra Lakshman is a famous television serial and movie actress from Kerala. Born in 1983, Chandra is the only daughter of Mr. Lakshman and Mrs. Malathi. Chandra was brought up in Chennai, and she has a degree in Hotel Management. Chandra’s entry into the entertainment industry was quite unexpected. She was a strongly focusing on her career in hotel management when an acquaintance introduced her to the show business. Chandra is a well trained dancer and a veteran of several stage shows and competitions. Chandra debuted in a Tamil movie “Mamas Elam” and later acted in Malayalam movies like “Stop Violence,” “Balram vs. Tharadas,” “Pauma Pula,” “Chakram” and “Kalyana Kurimanam.”

Having completed her graduation, she was first cast in a Tamil movie “Manasellam” in the year 2002 as Bala’s (Srikanth) sister. Bala played the lead role in this film. She was a professional Bharatanatyam dancer. She completed her schooling from N.J school, Chennai. Later she completed hotel management course from M.G.R. Institute of Hotel Management.

In her latest interview with the Deccan Chronicle, she told that she was starting her second innings in Malayalam after six years with the serial Mazha Ariyathe.
