Ek Se Badhkar Ek is an Indian TV singing and dancing reality show which was telecasted on Zee TV. The show was premiered on 7th June, 2008. The concept of the show was that the contestants will compete in jodis (pairs). A singer and a dancer will make one pair. There were 16 participants in total, making 8 pairs. The dancers were mainly Indian TV stars. After performing, each team appeals the TV audience to vote for them. Winner is determined based on audience votes and points granted by judges. The pair securing the least aggregate score in each week gets eliminated. Elimination was done on every Friday based on their performances on Friday (current week) and Saturday (previous week). The two teams which were put in the danger zone on Saturday get one more chance to perform and on Friday. The pair which remains till the end, surviving all the eliminations, wins the show and the title “Sabse Badhkar Jodi”. They will also win a cash prize of Rs. 25 Lakhs.

. The show faced some controversy when Judge Abhijeet Bhattacharya made some harmful comments on the show about Pakistani singer
Atif Aslam
. Abhijeet asked the participants not to sing Atif’s song on the show. This act affected Abhijeets popularity very badly.
The finale of the show was on 14th September, 2008.
Abhishek Awasthi
was granted the award of best dancer. The show Ek Se Badhkar Ek was won by the pair
